Client testimonials
Dear Chris,
On behalf of the castle development steering group Id like to thank you and your colleagues for your excellent work on delivering the new Magna Carta and Charter of the Forest exhibition at Lincoln Castle.
Before your intervention the original exhibition was tired, uninspiring and offered little for young people in particular. This new exhibition is fresh, interesting, inspiring and engages with both the young and old. In short, it does the iconic documents that reside within it the justice they deserve.
We have just undertaken evaluative research into customer reaction of the new exhibition. From a survey of 100 visitors we can clearly see that the key project deliverables have indeed been delivered. Key points from the survey include:
• When asked what they did not like about the exhibition, 84% said there was nothing they did not like, and many of the remainder did not like things that were out of our control such as light levels on Magna Carta itself, and the fact that Magna Carta was on tour to the states during part of the evaluation period.
• The key element of the exhibition that visitors said they were taking away with them was the modern relevance of the document, which is what we wanted.
• The exhibition is doing a great job of holding peoples attention with only 3% spending less time in the exhibition than they were expecting to and 27% spending longer in it than they had expected.
• 81% of people read at least half the exhibition text with nearly a quarter of all respondents saying they read all of it.
You and your teams dedication and hard work throughout the process in addition to the skill and expertise you brought to bear to the project, was in no small measure a major reason why this project was such a success.
I wish you ever luck in the future and would not hesitate to work with you again.
With Kind Regards
Mike Cavanagh
Divisional Manager
Lincolnshire County Council
Dear Smith and Jones
I wanted to thank you both for your work put into the Brunel exhibition installation at the City Museum over the past weeks and months. There has been lots of positive feedback on the exhibition, from staff, lenders and visitors . Comments on the overall look and feel and the high quality of the design and installation of the various elements of the exhibition have all been made. Please pass on our thanks to your suppliers and colleagues who helped to achieve an excellent looking finish and robust design solution.
It was installed professionally and you responded to the requirements of the museum with flexibility and were quick to respond to our demands. The perspex not only looks good on the aero-engine, but actually draws attention to the finer parts of the engine, we're really pleased with it. So far the barrier to the Mini is also standing the test of small people's curiosity and doing its job.
Its been good working with you both, I hope that the de-rig goes well - I am sure we will be in touch nearer the time.
Best wishesPhil and Chris

Dear Smith and Jones
I write to thank you for making working with you on the interactives for Breaking the Chains such a pleasurable experience. You were always positive, constructive and imaginative. The interactives look great, they are standing the test of time and are exactly what we wanted.
I would be very happy to recommend you to other exhibition projects.
Best wishes for the future.

“We selected Smith and Jones to develop, build and install our new Interactive Centre at HorseWorld in Bristol based on their previous experiences in this field and their initial grasp of what we were trying to achieve at our award winning Visitor Centre.
Our primary objectives were to create a number of high-quality, robust, imaginative, educational and fun interactive components which would attract children in the 7-14 age-group and fit in well with the existing exhibits and environment of our Museum.
We were extremely pleased with Smith and Jones’s approach to understanding our requirements and their ability to elicit information and transform this into imaginative, engaging and practical ideas. They kept us very well informed with progress from inception right through to build and installation.
The resulting Interactive exhibits are of astonishing quality, very durable and have met our objectives of being both fun and educational. The success of the interactives has been demonstrated by the dramatically increased foot-fall to our Museum.”

Dear Chris
We would like to thank you for the great job you did on our exhibition ‘Journey to Inclusion’.
We really enjoyed working with you. You really worked hard to make our exhibition accessible.
The group picked you to do the work because you really helped us to understand what you wanted to do for us and made us feel confident that you could deliver!
As a group of people with learning difficulties, it is not always easy for us to understand what people are telling us, but you were great to work with and not patronising.
We were really proud of our exhibition. Thank you again.
The History Group.
