We have recently completed a fantastic interpretive signage scheme as part of the Tyleri Trails project in Abertillery.
The trails are start from four different locations in Abertillery - Abertillery Park, Cwmtillery Lakes, Guardian and St Illtyds Church. These trails were devised and developed by the local Tyleri Trekkers walking group and our signage scheme was to highlight and promote the various walks on offer. We produced an interpretive signage scheme that illustrated each of the different walks and some of the species and features that can be found on each.
We used hardwearing robust materials for the manufacture of the signage, and used chunky steel beams as the main structure for the signage. We added to the character of each site with rusted, galvanised and solid oak panels.
In Abertillery you are never to far away from the mining history, folklore and fable and our signage scheme captured the character of each walk on the specifically designed folklore graphics.
We are sure that visitors and local people alike will feel inspired to take to the trails and experience the fantastic landscapes and walks on offer.
