Somerset Cricket Museum Redevelopment, Taunton
Ian Botham, Viv Richards and Joel Garner have all made it into the museums redeveloped interior. We have catalogued objects, developed themes, organised content and created a stunning design proposal for the interior space. The museum will be architecturally re-worked with modern glass entrance area, mezzanine floors and a completely transformed interior. Smith and Jones were chosen because of our heritage experience and our vision of retaining the warmth and character of the existing museum.

Ty Ebbw Fach Interpretation and Ebbw Fach Trail, Six Bells
We are working with Six Bells Communities First Partnership and Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council on the design of a new visitor centre experience and nature trail around Six Bells, Abertillery, South Wales. The visitor centre interpretation will enlighten visitors on what it used to be like living in Six Bells in the 1960's. In addition, the life of a miner living in Six Bells will be explored together with interpretation relating to the iconic Guardian Miners Memorial.

Under 5's Activity Area
The Collection, Lincoln
We are pleased to announce Smith and Jones have been commissioned to design and implement an exciting under 5's activity area at The Collection in Lincoln. The Collection is Lincoln's premier art and archeology museum containing both artifacts and objects from archaeological and art collections. We will be transforming the existing retail space into an exciting and educational self contained activity area.

Lyme Regis, Dorset
Marine Parade Shelters Project
Smith and Jones have been chosen by Lyme Regis Town Council to design, manufacture and install a modern interpretation scheme in the newly regenerated Marine Parade Shelters. The £1.4m scheme to re-develop the shelters is nearing completion with the interpretive element to the project being completed by July.

Beer Marine Heritage Centre,
South Devon
We have just installed an exciting interpretive display at Beer Marine Heritage centre in South Devon. The work aims to interpret the famous Beer Cliffs, the variety of rocks that make up the cliff face and the animals and birds that live within the rocky ledges.

Blaenavon Wharf historical interpretation Project
Smith and Jones are working with Newport City Council, developing prominent outdoor interpretation, located alongside the River Usk in the Centre of Newport. The work involves research, copy writing, content development, graphic design and project management. Interpretation will ensure visitors connect with the important industrial past of an area that has recently been fully developed and modernised.

The Chartists Exhibition Newport
City Museum and Art Gallery
Smith and Jones have been chosen to help Newport Museum to develop and design a permanent Chartists Exhibition within the Museum. This is an intriguing look into the Chartists political movement and tells the important story of the Chartists in Newport. We are helping in the interpretation of information, content and copy writing and design of the graphics for the whole exhibition.

Magna Carta exhibition and gallery opens at Lincoln Castle
After Months of interpretation and design work, the refurbished exhibition and gallery is now open to visitors. Located within Lincoln Castle, the Magna Carta and Charter of the Forest exhibition has been completely transformed by Smith and Jones.

Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre official opening
HRH Princess Royal officially opened the Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre this week. The UK's most southerly lighthouse dates back to 1751 and has received a substantial make over by Smith and Jones.

exhibit - Slimbridge WWT
The Wildfowl and Wetlands trust at Slimbridge have asked Smith and Jones to work with them, developing an exciting new outdoor visitor experience. Smith and Jones are currently developing all of the site interpretation, messaging and imagery to the exhibit which opens this summer.

Dare Valley Visitor Centre
South Wales
We have just completed the installation of a permanent visitor centre at Dare Valley Country Park. We created a number of high impact coloured walls that divided the main space, ensuring content was revealed to visitors as they explore. We printed modern graphics direct to plywood creating a natural feel while fabric tensile banners were used to add real impact and a mix of materials. We installed a nature activity desk with magnifying glasses, display case and rubbing discs.

Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre - The Lizard, Cornwall
Smith and Jones beat off countrywide competition to land a substantial deal to rework the Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre in Cornwall. We will re-design the centre to take visitors on a journey through hundreds of years of lighthouse history and the lives and stories of lighthouse keepers.

Amazing Archive Exhibition Knowle West, Bristol
We helped Knowle West Media Centre turn there Amazing Archive exhibition into reality. The Amazing Archive group met weekly engaging with the local community, understanding their roots, uncovering oral histories, artifacts, stories and photos. The exhibition aims to address common misconceptions of the area Knowle West.

Breaking the Chains - British Empire and Commonwealth Museum
Smith and Jones design and manufacture hands on activities and interactive displays for younger people visiting this ground-breaking £1 million Heritage Lottery Funded exhibition.

The Journey to Inclusion
Bristol City Museum
This exhibition explores the barriers many people with learning difficulties have experienced in their lives. The exhibition, located in Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery is open for a number of months over the summer.

Bristol Faces Afrikan Footsteps

Smith and Jones worked with a group of young people from Bread Youth Project in Bristol. The teenagers, who are all of African heritage, visited Ghana and curated the exhibition themselves.

Brunel and the Art of Invention
Bristol City Museum
This exhibition was a fantastic success with over 5000 visitors leaving feedback. Getting a full size Mini into the museum was the highlight of the build.
